When COVID-19 started spreading in the United States, the CDC immediately recommended “social distancing” and staying home. However, for the 553,000 homeless Americans, staying home wasn’t an option.  People experiencing homelessness are older and sicker than the general population. Many have chronic health issues and, when combined with their high risk of mental disease and drug abuse, makes them one of the most vulnerable populations to thecoronavirus. For these people, a small contribution can go a long way.
